A 32-inch curved dual-screen upgrade for three BMW generations

Tradetec introduces a new panoramic display family for the BMW 5 Series F10/F11, BMW 7 Series F01/F02 and BMW X5 F15. The assembly combines a digital instrument cluster and Android multimedia display beneath one large curved surface, completely updating the driver's area.

The screen assembly is shared by all three products. The rear adaptation, bracket, wiring and configuration change to suit each vehicle and its original multimedia system.

Three available applications

How does it differ from a conventional Android screen?

A conventional Android upgrade mainly changes the multimedia area. This conversion also updates the display directly in front of the driver. The visual continuity between the digital cluster and central screen creates a panoramic cockpit inspired by newer vehicles.

The 8 GB RAM and Qualcomm 685 processor provide a strong platform for the Android environment, while 128 GB storage provides room for compatible apps, maps and user files.

Compatibility requires more than the model year

Vehicles within the same BMW generation may use different clusters, displays, iDrive systems, connectors, audio equipment, cameras and factory options. Before ordering, send photographs of the complete dashboard, powered-on original screen and original instrument cluster. Tell us about the original camera, amplifier, optical fibre, HUD and other relevant equipment.

CIC, NBT and EVO versions have the same price, but the correct selection is essential because it determines the required wiring and configuration.

Connections and integration

System documentation shows connections for power, original-cluster communication, optical fibre where required, GPS and 4G antennas, USB, microphone, reversing-camera video input and a 360° camera connection. Effective availability of each function depends on the vehicle, accessories and supplied configuration.

If CarPlay, Android Auto, a specific camera or any other function is essential, confirm it with Tradetec before ordering.

Installation requires dashboard cutting or modification

Part of the original dashboard must be cut or modified. This is not a basic installation or an easily reversible conversion. It must be carried out by a professional experienced in BMW interiors, vehicle electronics, optical fibre and multimedia systems.

Power, audio, controls, cluster, sensors, cameras, navigation and all related equipment must be tested before the dashboard is closed. Do not cut any trim before the unit and parts have been physically checked.

Certification and vehicle approval

Because of the display size and physical dashboard modification, contact Tradetec before ordering if certification or approval documentation is required. We also recommend checking acceptance of the modification with the relevant vehicle-inspection authority or engineer.
